Manhattan Chiropractors FAQ
Like other Manhattan chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients. Here are some of the most common questions and answers...
Why Chiropractic?

Spinal joints that aren’t moving right can choke or irritate nearby nerves. Chiropractic adjustments add motion to these stuck joints, reducing nervous system disruption. Then, health has the best opportunity to return.
Chiropractic is the art, science and philosophy of restoring the inborn ability to self-heal by detecting and reducing compromises to the nervous system, usually along the spine. The primary intervention is the spinal adjustment.
How much will it cost?
If you are accepted for care, fees will be discussed with you individually and our payment plans will be explained to you. Most of our patients find our fee arrangements fit within their budgets or savings.
If you are committed to improving your health through Chiropractic, we are committed to making flexible arrangements to help you and your family to receive the best we have to offer.
A Healthy Investment- People who maintain their spine regularly are far healthier than those who don’t. They feel better, get sick less often, get well faster, recover from injuries more quickly, have stronger immune systems, see medical doctors less often, and often require little or no prescription medications.
How often will I need to be seen?
Spinal subluxations have an unfortunate history of elasticizing back into their old patterns if you are not adjusted often enough during the first 90 days of a corrective process. Initially most patients need to see Manhattan NY Chiropractor, Dr. Jason Piken three times weekly. For the remainder of the corrective period, visit frequency gradually reduces to one visit weekly until maximum correction is achieved. No changes in the frequency of your adjustment will be made randomly. Re-evaluations and at times, re-x-rays will define the progress which will prompt a change in your frequency of adjustment and application of homework.
How long will it take?
Dr. Piken will evaluate the length of your care plan based upon the specific complexity of your case. Your care plan will be based on many factors… your x-rays, your history of physical stress, your hours of work, your Bioimpedance analysis, and your Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic exam findings. Care plan recommendations can be as short as 3 months or as long as 12 months.
